It’s always been a part of the business model at Master Shower Doors to give a little more. We enjoy spending a little extra time with each customer to make sure every question has been answered. We like to give everyone who calls in to our showroom the time they need on the phone. And we make it a point to give of our time and talents to the local organizations that help so many people in the local communities.
Why Community is Important to Us
People ask us why we commit so much time and money to the local charities and organizations we support. I explain that sometimes when you are feeling grateful, writing a check isn’t enough; you also have to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty! It feels good to be a tangible part of helping others. Giving back the way we do to charities and organizations with mission statements we support is a reflection of our own core values: Hard work and putting others first.
We recently had the opportunity to help build a wheelchair ramp for a 94-year-old war Veteran in Dover, DE. It was a great experience to lend our time and talents for the good of a man who served his country in three wars!
Several other businesses helped in the effort, which was organized by Home Builders Association of Delaware, Purple Heart Homes, and Dover Federal Credit Union (DFCU). What a great opportunity for all of us to pitch in and help someone in need. It felt good!

If I could give one piece of advice to other business owners, it would to get involved more in the local community. It’s good business. Find the local organizations with mission statements in alignment with your own and help where you can.
